What a way to start the new year! It’s been wonderful to welcome everyone back to Got 2 Sing Choir, with such a buzz of energy across all our rehearsal rooms. After a short break, there’s something truly special about coming back together, lifting our voices and being reminded just how good it feels to sing as part of a supportive, uplifting group.

We’ve wasted no time diving into some fantastic new music. Livin’ On A Prayer and Flowers are already shaping up to be brilliant additions to our setlist and we can’t wait to keep developing them and start performing them later in the spring. The enthusiasm, focus and sheer joy in rehearsals this week have been a real highlight and a perfect example of why so many people love being part of a non-audition, inclusive choir like Got 2 Sing.

One of the loveliest parts of the first week back has been welcoming so many new faces through our doors. Walking into choir for the first time can feel like a big leap of faith: the excitement, the nerves and that moment of wondering what it’s all going to be like. Watching new members settle in, find their voices and become part of the group has been incredibly special and a reminder that everyone’s choir journey starts somewhere.

We’re also so grateful to our existing members for helping make that experience such a positive one. A friendly smile, a warm hello, introducing yourself or helping someone find a seat might seem like a small gesture but it goes a long way in helping people feel comfortable and included. That sense of warmth and kindness is at the heart of what makes Got 2 Sing more than just a choir – it’s a community.

We also want to take a moment to celebrate something truly special from the end of last year. Across our Got 2 Sing Rocks Christmas shows, an incredible £4,676.28 was raised for charity. Every penny has gone to local charities chosen by our members, making the impact even more meaningful. Thank you to everyone who donated, supported and helped make those performances so joyful.

As we look ahead, we’re feeling excited, inspired and ready for all the adventures 2026 has in store. With new music, new memories and plenty of shared moments still to come, it’s a wonderful reminder that choir really is about so much more than singing.
