Time for a Cuppa Fundraising

We are extremely proud of all our members who participated in Dementia UK’s Time for a Cuppa last week (1st – 8th March) and raised over £2050 in the process. Choir members baked, brought and bought cakes at weekly rehearsals to help fund dementia specialist Admiral Nurses, who give life-changing support to families facing dementia.

Admiral Nurses provide the specialist dementia support that families need. When things get challenging or difficult, they work alongside families affected by dementia, giving them the compassionate one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions which help families face dementia with more confidence and less fear.

Dementia UK currently has 279 Admiral Nurses working across various care settings, including out in the community, care homes, hospitals and hospices. The charity also has its Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline which is available to anyone with any questions around dementia via phone or email. There are currently not enough Admiral Nurses for the growing number of people with dementia. www.dementiauk.org/timeforacuppa.
